Questions
How do I commission a custom furniture transformation?
Start by sending photos of your furniture for evaluation. We'll discuss your vision, provide price ranges, and schedule a home visit to understand your space and preferences before developing a custom design concept.
What types of furniture can be transformed?
We work with period-appropriate pieces from various eras that inspire artistic reinterpretation. Ideal candidates include well-designed furniture with historical character that can be restored and transformed while maintaining structural integrity.
Do you create original furniture pieces?
While we primarily transform existing furniture, we also accept custom fabrication commissions based on our designs. Recent examples include the Ofrenda al Mar folding screen and other unique pieces created to client specifications.
What is your payment structure?
Typically 50% deposit to begin work with balance due upon delivery. We offer flexible payment arrangements including thirds-based schedules and maintain transparent pricing throughout the commissioning process.
Are your finishes durable?
Yes, our multi-layer enamel system with hand-rubbed varnish and wax produces extremely durable surfaces. The finish develops a satiny patina over time while maintaining resistance to wear through our proven techniques developed over 40 years.
