Lankford's Mesquite Products
Terry Lankford was born in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University (1975) and has a degree in Industrial Technology. His background is in woodworking along with 10 years experience in the Limestone quarry and fabricating business. His greatest "woodworking" accomplishment is the building of the Marty Leonard Chapel at the Lena Pope Children's home in Ft.

Worth, Texas. He started working full time with Mesquite wood in 2001. Since 2001, we've continued to make custome Mesquite Furniture and appreciate all the past, present and future customers. Feel free to contact Terry or Susan anytime about your custom Mesquite Furniture idea. Located in Abilene, Texas, Terry works diligently to achieve the finest crafted piece that each mesquite log has to offer.

Mesquite is known for its rich auburn color, highly figured grain and character patterns that over time ages to a distinctive patina.
Services
Beds
Report
Terry Lankford will design and make the Mesquite four post bed of your choice.
Each bed is custom crafted to bring out the best of each piece of Mesquite chosen for the task.
The type of posts constructed will help determine the cost of the bed.
Beds with natural formed posts (BED 101) will be priced higher that beds with four sided posts (BED 102).
The addition of turquoise, if desired, will also factor in to the price of the bed.
Below are samples of custom beds constructed in the past.
Feel free to call Terry and discuss the type and size of bed you desire to obtain a quote.
Mantels
Report
We have a quick turnover of our Mesquite Mantels.
We can custom make a Mesquite mantel to your specifications and e-mail photos for your approval.
Contact us with your dimensions and we will be happy to quote a price.
A rule of thumb for the length of a mantel is to measure half way between the fireplace box and the end of the stone.
This should be where the mantel starts and ends.
However, personal preference is best.
Tables
Report
Most of Terry's designs are custom built pieces.
Terry or Susan will be glad to visit with you about your idea for a custom Mesquite Table.
All table tops are designed with book-matched Mesquite lumber.
Book-matching will result in beautiful designs as seen in the table tops below.
Please call, e-mail or come by to discuss your idea for a custom built piece.
Mesquite Lumber
Report
Mesquite lumber is perfect for almost any woodworking project.
Not only is mesquite harder than most hardwoods (2.5 times harder than oak), it is also the most dimensionally stable commercial hardwood available.
This means that there will be fewer expansion and contraction problems in table tops and other woodworking projects when humidity levels change.
We are not currently shipping lumber.
You are welcome to come to Abilene or call Terry to discuss your needs.
